The weird and wonderful
In 2017, Dropbox launched a new brand identity that was developed by Collins and the Dropbox Brand Studio. There were lots of highlights—like a diverse color pallette and deep typographic language—but I was particularly taken by their use of illustration. Beyond a single style, the rebrand signaled a new dedication to illustration throughout the Dropbox brand experience. It combined color, collage, and gesture to create "weird and wonderful" moments.
